| after 70 or 80 miles on the highway,my 97 f-150 runs rough the next day,only on initial morning start up.sets a code stating cyl. misfire.a friend says to change ignition wires,any ideas?

How many miles are on your set of plugs?
Sounds like a plug dying or plug wre breaking down but by doing it only when it's cold, and as it warms up it goes away,I'd say a plug.
