I want to color match the lower valence on my rear bumper. It is made of textured ABS plastic. What grit sandpaper should I start with to smooth it out, and what steps should I take before paint? I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!

If it's that textured finish use 180 to sand it flat, you'll have to lightly prime the result to attain a smooth surface and then sand that with 400 before painting.
