having problems with my 1998 chevy cheyenne, acts like it's not getting fuel, checked fuel, fuel not pumping.
Is it possible short in fuel pump?

Check for power at the pump connector. If power is present, then more than likely the fuel pump is bad.
These have about a three to five second delay for power being at the pump. When you turn the key on, the pump is supplied power for about that period of time, then the power stops until engine is cranked or engine starts.
So, someone needs to check for power as another pperson turns the switch on.
